PHOTO ENGRAVING GUIDANCE
One photo per glass is required. Additional photos can be engraved at £5 per photo via the add-on option available on applicable product listings.
If you do not want the entire photo engraved, you may remove the background before submitting your image.
- Alternatively, you can purchase the edit add-on for background removal and other editing work (£5 per photo), available on applicable product pages.
Personalisation (text) can be engraved free of charge alongside a photo. Unless instructed otherwise, text placement will be at our discretion. Our standard font is Freestyle Script.
- We also offer text engraving on the base of most of our glassware for an additional fee of £3. This can also be purchased on applicable product listings
Photos must be free from filters, collages, emojis, and self-editing. Any text should be added separately.
We are unable to provide previews or proofs. We do not use any programs to mock up our work, as they are often extremely unreliable representations of what you will actually receive. There are no viewable stages between image processing and engraving. However, there are many examples of our work displayed throughout the shop. We are able to send photos of products before dispatch on request.
Photos featured on listings are examples of our engraving work and do not represent exactly how your order will appear. Every photo engraves differently.

WHAT MAKES A GOOD PHOTO?
High-quality photos will always achieve the best engraving results. While we can engrave most photos, lower-quality images will naturally produce lower-quality engravings. By placing an order, we will assume you are happy with the quality of your submitted image unless advised otherwise.
Original colour photos provide the best results.
Busy images or group photos, especially on smaller glassware, may lose finer detail.
When choosing a photo, please consider the lighting carefully:
- Avoid overly bright areas or dark shadows, particularly on faces, and ensure the image is clearly focused on the subject.
- Dark or black areas may engrave lightly, particularly where there is limited detail or definition. Some engraving may appear subtle and is often best viewed from an angle. However, good lighting can often still produce excellent results.
Most glassware has a limited engraving area, so image composition and height restrictions should also be considered before ordering. Please consider the shape and engraving area of your chosen glassware when selecting an image. For example:
Gin glasses generally suit wider landscape-style photos
Highball glasses are better suited to portrait-style images
GIFT WRAPPING AND PACKAGING
We do not offer gift wrapping or presentation boxing unless otherwise stated.
Glassware is wrapped in tissue paper and securely packaged for transit.
We can include gift notes on request (please leave it in an order note or contact us separately)
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Engraving may temporarily appear faded or less visible when damp or warmed by hands; however, the engraving itself is permanent.
To restore the original appearance:
- Wash the item using a degreasing soap and dry thoroughly, or
- Place the item through a dishwasher cycle
Drinkware and dinnerware glassware is dishwasher safe.
Cappuccino, mug, latte, and espresso glasses are microwave safe.
Cappuccino, mug, latte, Irish coffee, and espresso glasses are suitable for hot liquids
Please avoid using abrasive substances or materials on engraved areas.
